It seems like a Javascript plugin is required to add JS to WordPress and this would require me to be using a paid WordPress installation.
trying out wordpress blocks
There are many kinds of “blocks” in wordpress. In this post I will try out some of them!
# markdown
This is a "code" block. I have set the default language for the block to markdown.
ankle blocks buttons reflection running wordpress
In this section I have tried out a few different wordpress blocks (categories list/buttons/cloud tag/latest posts). I would like know how to add code to the buttons to perform actions – perhaps I will try this in a future post.
when will i run again?
Taking the sprained ankle into consideration it may be at least another three to four weeks before I can run with any conviction. This makes me sad but does allow for a period of reflection.
Eating as healthily as possible has been part of my plan of recovery. For me this is muesli for breakfast with fruit if I have some. Meals during the day have been either salads, sandwiches or the occasional fried egg or vegetarian sausage. I like the idea of eating simply, dressing simply and, indeed, living simply since it frees the mind to think about other things and surely this must be a good thing!
Currently I feel that I am about two-to-three weeks away from gentle jogging but it’s really hard to be sure of this. Cycling maybe a good way to build some strength but I don’t feel the inclination to do it for various reasons.
sprained ankle
It’s been four-and-a-half weeks since I sprained my ankle quite badly on an allotment and I am still recovering. It was a day where a combination of tiredness and other factors came together – a long-standing injury coupled with uneven surfaces – to leave me looking at a six week recovery period.
My aim has been to make the most of this period of time. I have been able to tidy my room, practise gentle stretching and also to read. Morihei Ueshiba’s book “The Art of Peace” has been a good read during this time and I hope to finish it soon. Laurel and Hardy’s comedy is always good fun and “Son’s of the Desert” is currently one of my favourite films.
A trip to the cinema to see “Perfect Days” has been another highlight of this period. It’s hard for me to add to the acclaim that the film has already received without repeating the thoughts of others but I can say that I would recommend the film. It’s no longer showing at my local cinema but can apparently be found on “mubi”.
